* The Art of Photography Show 2011 is a world-class international exhibition of photographic art occurring August 13 through October 16, 2011 at the elegant two-level Lyceum Theatre Gallery, a perfect venue for exhibiting a large showcase of awesome photographic art. This yearís judge is Anne Lydon. a highly acclaimed museum curator. The 2010 competition attracted entries from 67 countries.

There will be $10,000 in Awards.

PHOTOcentric is a juried competition and exhibition presented by Garrison
Art Center, set at the edge of the Hudson River, one hour North of New York
City. Open to amateurs and professionals & all photographic mediums $40
entry fee for 5 images -- $5 per each additional image. All artists must

* Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM)
Environmental Photographer of the Year encourages entries that are
contemporary, creative, resonant, challenging, original and beautiful. But
most of all, we want your pictures to inspire people around the world to
start taking care of our environment. The competition is open to all
professional and amateur, national and international photographers of all
ages. Still pictures can be from film and digital cameras. Each picture must
be assigned to only one of the categories below but you may enter multiple
pictures across the categories and more than one picture into a category.
There is a maximum of 7 still images per entrant.

The Underwater World
Mott MacDonald's Changing Climates
Quality of Life
A View From the Western World
CS2's Building Our Future (New for 2011)
There is a chance for young photographers to become CIWEM's Young
Environmental Photographer of the Year.
* Young Environmental Photographer of the Year - Under 16
* Young Environmental Photographer of the Year - Under 21
There is also a video category which is new for 2011.
The winning entries share a prize fund of £5,000.
The 2011 competition closes on 31st July 2011.

* Fuji presents, The Choose Film Distinctions Awards. The brief for the
inaugural Choose Film Distinctions Awards is ĎChangesí Ė use your creative
skills to capture what this means to you.
There is a first prize of £1,000 cash up for grabs plus a second prize of
£100 of Fujifilm film and a third prize of £50 of Fujifilm film.
The Awards are open to all ChooseFilm.com members, entry is free and you can
submit as many images as you like.
