BEHIND THE VEIL. Photos Probe Spectrum of Female Muslim Identity.
In a New York photography exhibit, female Muslim students show off a range of
work and attitudes toward self representation. While some pose for family and
personal shots, three withhold their names and refuse to be photographed for
religious reasons.

A DIFFERENT LOOK AT AIDS. – Photo project lets Africa
AIDS victims show their own story. The images are both joyous and wrenching,
and they were shot by women and children who are caught in the pandemic that
has killed and orphaned so many.
In one photograph, a charmer, depicts a child turning an exuberant handspring
for a circle of young admirers. But the picture titled "Children Raising
Children" delivers a punch to the gut: It shows a boy of 7, maybe 8, with
a baby in a makeshift sling tied firmly to his side.
The youngster's arm is casually and tenderly draped around the infant as he
smiles for the photographer; the boy's faded, yellow T-shirt is ripped, but
the baby wears a cap with a jaunty pouf of pink yarn on top.
The photo gallery, online and traveling in the United States and overseas, is
unlike others about AIDS and Africa: http://www.dailytidings.com/2008/0611/stories/0611_bp_house.php

IT’S TOO RISKY – Photography’s inherent
risks. Photographers were cut off from some of the big events like climbing
and mountain biking with the organizers citing safety reasons. “It got
me thinking about the idea of how I approach risk and safety while photographing.”

THE SUMMER SALE - - IT'S
COMING!
Increase your photo sales by taking advantage of what our
marketletters can provide you. They help you three big ways:
1.) They provide you with a
continuing list of fresh, new contacts you can add - many of these photobuyers
to your personal database (Market List) because they need the kind of photos
that you like to take.
2.) The photo listings show
you the kind of photos that buyers need. With this information you can go out
and take pictures in your interest areas, using the photo requests listed in
the marketletter as blueprints.
3.) If you have the exact picture
the buyer needs (or you can go out and take the image), you have a good chance
of selling (licensing) the picture to the buyer. And the fee is not the $1 to
$5 fee you see posted for sale in many Internet portals. Our PhotoSource pay
$50, $80, $100 and more per photo. Where can you get more information about
these stock photo marketletters?

BUY IT WHOLESALE
Before you place your order to a company (a favorite magazine, vitamin company,
etc.) use a search engine such as Google and do a search. For example Vanity
Fair magazine discount coupons. You'll find several sites with "codes"
that can be used on the check-out page of the vendor when asked for a discount
code. It's an easy way to reduce your costs on all kinds of merchandise. Try
r
it for gasoline. One of our subscribers who lives in Minneapolis tried this
system for gas and found a place featuring coupons for 5 cents less a gallon.
Unfortunately, she had to drive to the other side of the city to buy the gas.
