What are the top-selling newspapers in the US? The US newspapers with the greatest daily circulation are USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, and The Washington Post. In world circulation, those dailies rank much lower. According to the World Association of Newspapers, USA Today only comes in at No. 13 worldwide, after five Japanese newspapers, two from England, two from China, and one each from Germany, India, and South Korea. The Washington post is way down the list at No. 101. When the Washington Post first came out on December 6, 1877, it was four pages long and each letter was typeset by hand. It cost three cents.
